Dolphin Encounter have a crew of qualified skippers and guides who operate the sea based tours. All crew are trained in-house to the highest level of competency in order to provide the maximum level of care for our visitors. Skippers and guides share a wealth of experience and passion for the marine environment and dolphins that visit the Kaikōura area. They also share a passion for all oceanic wildlife that they encounter whilst leading Dolphin Encounter tours.
Their passion for what we do is shared with the wider team at our operating base. Our Cafe Team are a focussed group of hospitality professionals who will ensure you enjoy great food and drink. Our dedicated and experienced Customer Service Team and Support Crew will also ensure that your visit is a friendly and memorable one!

Tracy
Tracy started at Dolphin Encounter back in 2005. She has a degree in Environmental Science and has worked on research projects around the world including the Falkland Islands, Borneo and Hong Kong.
During her free time she likes the challenges of exploring the outdoors with weekends away spent climbing mountains and tramping. Tracy also enjoys travelling and has hitch-hiked through the Amazon with Antarctica standing out as her favorite place.
